Our funeral home was founded during the 1930’s and moved to the town of Ryton in 1987. We have earned a reputation in the community for our high standards of service and compassionate approach to caring for the bereaved and their loved ones.
Here at E Peart Funeral Director we also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. This will protect your family from rising costs and remove uncertainty about your wishes.
If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us in any of our funeral homes, or if you’d rather we can arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.

Darren Johnstone was a schoolboy when he began helping the Peart family, before joining full-time when he was 17. He later committed to running the business with the same quality of service it became known for, and continues to run the business today.
Having spent his life in and around funerals, he understands the importance of providing a quality service and supporting every family that comes through his door.
